On December 21, 2015, when Why India Needs the Presidential System launched at IIC Delhi, the auditorium was packed. Shashi Tharoor, Shanta Kumar, and Kuldip Nayar joined the author Bhanu Dhamija, and released the book in front of a standing-room-only crowd. Judging by the well attended event, and extensive nationwide media coverage, the interest in the book’s proposal to change India’s political system is huge.
