‘Free a Billion’ (FAB) campaign aims at helping Indians achieve economic and fundamental freedoms. It’s launched by Rajesh Jain, a reputed entrepreneur, and inspired by Atanu Dey, an economist (Phd, UC Berkeley) and author of Transforming India. Their idea is to “change rules, not just rulers.” Hence, their ultimate objective is to change India’s Constitution. The first FAB aim, however, is to make Mumbai a better governed city. Jain and his team are mobilizing voters to replace the city’s vintage 1888 municipal corporation act with a new model.
